I've just joined up in a wonderful group, called Pieces of You.
They offer topics weekly, for a chance for their members to get a chance to do a little internal exploration, introspection. And this will be my first real topic to cover of theirs, so... here goes.
~How would your life differ if you no longer had use of your computer?~
Geezus. What a topic to start on.
I think my life would change a lot, in many different ways.
As I'm done with my Middle School, and my friends aren't really around much anymore, the internet is my only real link to talk to any of them. As well as my other friends online. I have many that I've met in Message Boards, chat rooms, you name it, I've met someone there.
And if that link was cut, I'd be in a pickle. Suddenly feeling kinda friendless. But this is only hypothetically I hope.
I also do a lot of my expressing on the computer. I write stories, I make digital art and splashes, and just doodle around...it's fun.
But I also can do all this stuff with paper and pencil. I love writing. Typing is easier for me, but I could physically write if I had to. And drawing? I constanly draw patterns, designs, characters, swords, anything. As long as I have a good mechanical pencil, and a good sheet of paper... not to mention a sturdy eraser.
I think the main difference in my life would be the loss of communication with friends on the internet. I've met some of my best friends online. And one I've actually met, and we're inseperable. Except for when we seperate and she goes to Oklahoma, but hey.
Plus, I'd lose all my incredible typing skills, and that'd be a waste.
