Hide your Johns Friends, it's a bad day to be named John. Really. Johnny Cash has "crossed over," and was soon followed by actor John Ritter, who I will always remember as Ted, the evil boyfriend robot. Sigh. I liked both of them. Ritter was only 54! Undetected heart disease... yeesh. This is scary, folks. I feel old. All these people keep dying, and the more that do, the more close to home they get. Like, okay, Richard Harris. I loved him as Dumbledore, but it wasn't like "Dear god!!" for me. I'll miss him, but I missed out on his work. Then Buddy Hacket (spelled?) died. I knew him better. Hillbilly! And then Barry White. Barry White! Gotta know Barry White... And now Johnny Cash, whom I know from his many covers, and John Ritter. I knew them. This is just...frightening. Who's gonna go next? Will I know them too? Should I keep tabs on all of my favorite stars and keep them out of danger even if it comes down to wearing a billowing coat and throwing them out of the way of a car? Sigh. <-Ghost-> |
