Short recap, and the Ring 2 I've just returned from the theater, and I'm kind of glad to be back. Last night, when I got home from East Tejas, I wanted to write a long, meaningful entry about what I had learned of life and its shortness and how everything was going to be beautiful and fantastic, and... Yeah, well, Diaryland futzed on me, so here I am now, and the inspiration well has kind of dried up. Just know that I met a lot of new family, a lot of cousins, and that we're all okay. So I just got back from seeing The Ring 2. Hee. It was...well, it was good. It was very well directed and put together, and the story flowed well. It was "scary," judging by the gasps coming from teenaged girls all around me, but it didn't really make me do much more than jump a couple times. It was hokey in a few places, though. The scene with the deer? Very CGI. I know that effects today are as close to real-life as ever, but if you can't convincingly create a scene and make me believe it, then it won't be scary at all. It will be "Oh wow, look, the computer deer are attacking the car." And yet again, this movie proves that in order to be the "heroine" of a horror movie, you have to have the IQ of approximately half a pet rock. Naomi Watts, in my opinion, has the acting ability of twice that amount, too, but that's a whole different story. Congratulations to Nicole on getting her job!. Sadly, her internet is going to poot out for a bit, but she'll be back! She'll be better 'n ever, too! *grin* 10 days until my birthday! <-Ghost-> |
