Sleetin' n' Sleepin' I awoke around 7:20 this morning. It was an amazing feeling. My eyelids were as heavy as anvils, and my muscles ached to go back to their slumber. My eyes remained unfocused, and I started to arise, and greet the world with the disgust and loathing I normally do on such mornings. But the amazing feeling was this, my friends. I realized then that I did not have to arise and greet the world with forced enthusiasm, nor did I have to go and endure the strain of school. I had a chance... if just this once... to: Go. Back. To. Sleep. Yes. It's true my friends. As it was, it had sleeted for about 12 hours straight the previous night, and the roads, sidewalks, driveways...everything was entirely iced. I had no school. I had no need to get up. I had no need to do anything. But sleep. And so I did. Then later...I sat down, and watched TV. Just...watched. Propped my feet up with a cup of hot apple cider, and watched. Then I went and looked at the ice. This was the most relaxing day ever. And relaxation is everything I've been needing. So, this is stressing me out. I don't want to write anymore. So you know what? I'm not gonna. And you know what else? I get to do this all over again tomorrow. Sleepin' baby, here I come. ~Ghostie~ |
