Alan Tudyk is my boyfriend. Sorry Greg Grunberg and David Anders. Call me later. I keep seeing this commercial for Cialis. It promises to work for up to 36 hours. While I think some ladies would appreciate such stamina for a while, I think a day and a half of that would begin to get a bit tiresome. But maybe that's just me. And what would you do if you had to go to work? Call in sick? Or priapismatic? The funniest part of that commercial is that one of the side effects is "muscle pain." No duh. You can't do that for 36 hours without getting a little sore. *cries* Stupid A Knight's Tale making me cry and sniffle and... grr. I hate movies that do that. I hate crying at movies or emotional scenes in TV shows. Unless I am very PMS-y and I need to get a good cry, I really despise feeling that way. I'm reading a very interesting book at the moment. Well, not at this very moment, but in general, I am reading Parable of the Talents by Olivia E. Butler. It's set in the year 2032, and it's a very intriguing view into a "what could be" type of reality. It's not all space cars and aliens (though they did discover some life on Mars). It's very downtrodden, almost Depression-esque people. And the United States has torn itself apart in this reality. The presidential candidate from Texas in this book is a religious zealot who wants to crack down on everybody who doesn't believe as he does, and who wishes to return America to it's God-centered past so that it "can be great again." There are actual "witch" burnings, consisting of any cult member, or any other religion, or heck, any eccentric person. It's... very very intriguing. I'm about a third of the way through it (it's rather large) and I only got it Thursday afternoon. It's a pretty easy read, but not in a fluff way. Anyway. There's where I stand, literature-wise, at the moment. Mmmmmm. Winterfresh gum. I'm going to lay down and wait for somebody to come online. Because I am bored. <-Ghost-> |
