Guess who's back?
2004-03-14 at 1:27 p.m.

I'm BACK! Aren't you so happy!? I know some people are happy to see me. That or there's a violin case in his pants.

Oh! I crack myself up. I... uh... I apologize for that joke, but, it's not like I made it up or anything.

Ahem. Moving on!

So I spent 8, I think, days in California, with my bestest bud, and each and every one was a blast.

Here's just a rundown of what we did, and I may expend upon each a little more after the list, but here goes.

Friday (arrival day)

We, duh, got there, we drove around, had some lunch, got settled into our fantabulous beach house, which was, surprise! On the beach. Hung out on the beach for a bit, the 'rents went out for food, and we ate in. Not too eventful.

Saturday (Hollywood!)

We went to Hollywood. Saw Groeman's Chinese Theatre thing, lots of stars and footprints. Saw a guy who looked like Hal Sparks twice. That became the running joke of the week. We also went to Rodeo Drive (pronounced Roh-DAY-oh), and laughed at the reeeeeally expensive stores. And pretended to see Hal Sparks. Did see one celebrity... I think. Pharrell? Farrell? Some rapper/producer guy. But still, famous enough to make a team of girly teeny-boppers squeal around us. Woo!

Sunday (church/beach)

We went to a church on behalf of dads request. Some preacher dude that he really respects was there, and so we all went along. The service was alright. Good music, but... I dont know. The preaching didnt really get me that well. Maybe Im just not used to his style. Then we went home, played on the beach, made a sand mermaid, which youll get pictures of when Im bored enough to scan them and edit myself out. We also cooked out. Good times.

Monday (Knottsberry Farm)

This was our theme park day. We traveled around the park, riding rides, getting sick and dizzy, and having fun. Checked out the fun Snoopy stores around the place, including one called Cordys Corner, and just had a blast.

Tuesday (Tour Day)

Kind of a packed day for us. We went to this mansion called the Ennis-Brown House, which has appeared in lotsa movies, like Bladerunner, House On Haunted Hill, and also it was Angels mansion on Buffy. We toured that place, and it was really nice. Then we went to see the apartments which appeared as the Hyperion Hotel on Angel, as well as a really huge, and kind of neat cemetery, called the Angelus-Rosedale cemetery. It appeared on Buffy at some point, but we never found The Spot where they filmed or anything. Still kind of neat. AFTER that, we did a lot, we went to the Third Street Promenade, which was an awesome array of stores and places to eat, just a neat place. Ate dinner at Beni Hanas, and ate with this guy who appeared in some Dawsons Creek episodes, and was an up-n-coming actor.

Wednesday (Sony Pictures Day)

We went to the Sony Picture Plaza, which is the building used as the Wolfram and Hart building on Angel. But once inside, there was a tour we could take to see the movie studios they used there. So fun. Im glad we did it. We had a hilarious tour guide named Jamal, and we got to go on the set of Joan of Arcadia, one of Linzs favorite new shows. Very cool stuff. I even got a free CD when I talked to Jamal later. He ruled, man. We saw somebody who was in a bunch of Adam Sandler movies, like, his best friend? And we saw the director of Spiderman

Thursday (Disneyland Day)

We went to Disneyland California Adventure, not the actual park, just that part, and we split up into Me And Lindsey, and then Mom, Dad, and Steph. We roamed around, went in the gift shops which make up 90% of the park. We also saw this amazing acapella group, called Groove 66, while we waited to meet up with the gang again. Fun fun fun.

Friday (Mulholland Drive Day)

Okay, so we tried to repeat the fun day of touring at Sony by going to the Warner Bros. Studios, but, yknow? They just couldnt fit us in before we had to go to Torrance High and tour the school, cause, hi? Sunnydale High School. Anyway, instead of that, we went up Mulholland Drive, or... The Long Windy Skinny Road of Death Which For Some Reason A Lot Of Celebrities Live On. That was great. Except for the part where we all thought we were gonna die. But yknow. After the Road Torture, we went to Torrance High School as school let out. Sure we got weird looks from some leftover students, and it turns out that they do really play hackeysack there (giggle), but we got video footage of the awesome school, went up The Staircase... good times. Lots of laughs and happy sighs.

Saturday (Goodbye Day)

Sadly, on dads birthday, we had to say goodbye to the land weve come to love. Well miss that day, but we still had fun. So, yeah, I might explain later, but... lots of fun was had. And now were all recovering from the fun. Yaaaaawn.

Love and hugs to all of you who visited me MORE when I was gone than when Im normally here, but hey, its cool. Kisses to the rest of you (chocolate ones, that is.)

Adios!
