SARK Today was a fantastic day. No, really. It was. We went down to Richardson to the Comic Convention (SciFi Expo) and we got to meet David Anders, better known as Sark from Alias. He was a little late to his Q&A, but we had a few minutes with him, and we taped it, and wow. He was very cute, very sweet and kind of shy. Of course, there wasn't much talking going on. We only had about 15 minutes, and there weren't many of us there in the Q&A for him. But that's to be expected. The crowd-drawer there was Sean "Samwise" Asten. We didn't even try to see him. But David was sweet and funny, and kind of good ol' boy. He's from Oregon, and he sounded kind of country on some words, but lord, he was sweet. He called Lindsey, who couldn't make it, and left her a voice message in full Sark-voice, which is a sign of sweetness right there. He was funny to talk to, and while the fat guy who ran the discussion wouldn't shut UP and let other people ask questions, the answers he gave were still entertaining and stuff. So, all in all, it was a good day. Oh. And we got a new cat. She's older, so she should be safe in our house, if the virus hasn't disappeared entirely. And she should be able to take care of herself. She's a sweet, large-ish ginger cat, and after she gets used to our house, she'll probably be a great lap cat. There's just an adjustment period. Please know that I did not want to get a cat just yet. I don't think I was ready for it. But I very much love this cat. She melts into your arms, and when she gets used to our home, I hope she stays as sweet. Lord, I hope this works out. If we lose another cat, I will never want another one. We've lose the last three we've tried to have. Pebbles, Harmony, Juliet... I hope that since this one is older, she'll be able to take care of herself better. Sigh. I hope. Anyway. I'm going to play The Sims 2. I'll see you guys later. <-Ghost-> |
