That really sucks alot. I'm sorry that your friend is going through that. People really do the most horrible things in the name of religion. I don't know what your take is on it (or his) but you might find the link of interest. It's a different perspective, one that we don't see as often as we should from our Conservative friends.

He's in my heart and my prayers. I have a lot of friends who had similar problems with coming out, sometimes even getting this kind of rejection from best friends! Brandi just needs to know that the day will come when this is old news. Whatever happens, someday it will no longer be new and shocking, and hopefully his parents will learn to adjust and accept him and love him as he is.
